Award winning filmmaker and music video director Arowolo Dare David Abayomi popularly known in the entertainment industry as Mic Daviz, is making waves once again as he prepares to launch a highly anticipated talk show, "Just a Lil Xtra," and an innovative film institute aimed at nurturing the next generation of Nigerian filmmakers.
Having spent over a decade crafting some of the most visually captivating music videos in the industry, Mic Daviz has firmly established himself as a creative force. His work has garnered millions of views and numerous accolades, including a prestigious win at the IGen Film Festival on October 11, 2022, for his short film,
"The Wrong Turn."
Mic Daviz is set to release his talk show, "Just a Lil Xtra," to the general public in December 2024. The show, which has already completed 21 episodes, promises to offer viewers an insightful and entertaining exploration into the world of entertainment, with candid interviews and discussions with a focus on lives and careers of prominent figures.
Mic Daviz also disclosed ongoing plans to launch a film institute aimed at training aspiring filmmakers in Nigeria.
The institute according to Daviz will focus on teaching the fundamentals of film production, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the competitive world of filmmaking.
